Gnocchi 101 with Chef James
Join Chef James for a hands-on, intensive Italian class on how to prepare hand-made potato gnocchi and the techniques for keeping it light and fluffy, along with creating the special ridges for catching the sauce. Participants will also learn how to prepare Chef James’ San Marzano "comfort sauce” to accompany their beautiful gnocchi.

What You Need: You'll receive a shopping list for ingredients ahead of time. Supplies needed include: potato ricer (though a potato masher or fork will do in a pinch), knife, pan, boiling pot, and colander.
CookWithJames was created 15 years ago as an underground supper club in San Francisco. James would prepare multiple course regional Italian and Spanish dinners in his home for friends and guests. James staged at Quince restaurant after they opened in 2004 and has also lived and cooked in both Italy and Spain. After leaving his day job in advertising in 2009, James launched CookWithJames as a full-time business, offering private sit-down dinners and cooking classes.
