Macramé Plant Hanger WorkshopJENNY LEMONS
In this workshop led by Jenny Lemons, a DIY art school and small-batch clothing company based in San Francisco, you will learn the art of macramé and create a macramé plant hanger that can stylishly hold any pot. These plant hangers utilize some of the most important knots in macramé including the gathering knot, square knot, and half square knot. Once you learn these skills, you will be able to create large and more intricate pieces on your own. Gather your own supplies or get macramé kits shipped to participants.
Cost: $30/person Duration: 1 hour Group Size: 8+ What's Included: Instructor-led workshop What You Need: You will need 32 yards of 3mm macramé cord (cut into 8x 3-yard pieces and 2x 1-yard pieces), a 2" wooden ring, scissors, and tape. Macramé kits can be shipped to participants for $15/person + shipping. Kits include 32 yards of pre-cut 100% cotton 3mm macramé cord and a 2" wooden ring. |
ABOUT
Jenny Lemons is a small-batch clothing company and DIY art school run by San Francisco based artist Jennie Lennick. The shop is a working studio that prints garments, carries the work of other local artisans, offers DIY workshops, and sells a curated selection of art supplies. Jennie Lennick is the founder, creative director, and designer behind Jenny Lemons. As a formally trained painter, Jennie has been making watercolor work for many years. She received her MFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2012, and her BFA from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2009. Jennie is passionate about experimenting with materials and making art accessible to everyone!
