Watercolor for BeginnersJENNY LEMONS
Learn all the basics of painting with watercolor from Jennie Lennick, a formally trained painter and founder of Jenny Lemons, a DIY art school and small-batch clothing company based in San Francisco. Jennie will take your group through different blending and layering techniques and how to compose an image. She will go over the ins and outs of choosing brushes and styles of watercolor paint while doing exercises to get comfortable with the materials. Once everyone is ready, you will complete a painting step by step! Gather your own supplies or get watercolor kits shipped to participants.
Cost: $30/person Duration: 1 hour Group Size: 8+ What's Included: Instructor-led workshop What You Need: A set of watercolors, watercolor paintbrush, watercolor paper, cup of water, small dish of salt (1 tbsp.), and paper towels. Watercolor kits can be shipped to participants for $15/person + shipping. Kits include 6 watercolor paint tubes (5 ml), 1 Taklon brush (round), 1 graphite pencil, 1 eraser, 1 sharpener, 1 six-well palette, 1 watercolor artist pad, and 1 zippered carrying case. |

ABOUT
Jenny Lemons is a small-batch clothing company and DIY art school run by San Francisco based artist Jennie Lennick. The shop is a working studio that prints garments, carries the work of other local artisans, offers DIY workshops, and sells a curated selection of art supplies. Jennie Lennick is the founder, creative director, and designer behind Jenny Lemons. As a formally trained painter, Jennie has been making watercolor work for many years. She received her MFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2012, and her BFA from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2009. Jennie is passionate about experimenting with materials and making art accessible to everyone!
